Crime Stoppers - Queensland

Harcourts sponsored the Crime Stoppers Youth Challenge in 2012, working with schools throughout Queensland on a youth programme to help educate 700,000 children from grades 6 -12 about youth violence, with the aim to create safer communities Queensland wide.

Royal Childrens Hospital - Brisbane

With these funds, The Royal Childrens Hospital produced DVDs for families with deaf children, whether born deaf or as a result of diseases such as cancer or chemotherapy. The DVDs will be their information portal and education about what steps they need to take from birth onwards.

Ardoch Youth Centre

The Ardoch Youth Centre has recently been set up in Brisbane to help children who disadvantaged, homeless, suffer child abuse or chronic unemployment. Because this is a new centre they are trying to raise profile and encourage volunteers to donate their time. This amount will assist in the production of a radio campaign to raise awareness of the Ardoch Youth Centre over a 6 week period.

Mentor Program for youth - past and present AFL players and SA elite athletes will act as mentors - guiding participants through a number of confidence building activities over a 1 year period. Plus weekly meetings with leadership programs, life skill activities and healthy lifestyle programs.
