Lucas is a 7 year old boy from Blockhouse Bay with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. His special wish is to have a treehouse in his backyard. He has been unable to play on public playgrounds because of his compromised immunity. This will also help build up his strength and assist the physical side of his recovery.

We wish to dress all the children in purpose designed uniforms which can be kept permanently in the school and passed on from year to year.

Auckland Eastern Suburbs Inc - Riding for the Disabled

The national RDA has recently re-branded and local groups are required to bring the uniforms worn by all volunteers inline with the new logo. We have 37 volunteers who require this uniform.

Guardian Angels Charitable Trust

"The Special Wishes Project" is a small project which will consider the special or unusual needs that arise throughout the palliative needs of a child's life. Throughout the weeks and months of a child's terminal illness many families experience what one mother described as "a gentle slide into poverty" where the focus is on the basic needs of the family. We want to give an experience for the family to have good memories.

Waikato/Bay of Plenty Cancer Society

Relay for Life is the Cancer Society's second largest fundraising event. It is a community event that brings all types of people together to celebrate with those who have overcome cancer, remember loved ones lost, and raise funds. All survivors are give a purple sash, at dusk a candlelight ceremony is held where decorated candle bags are used to line the track.

We wish to purchase collection boxes that we can leave in medical centres and shops etc. We also wish to purchase some office equipment - a laminator and shredder. This will enable our office staff to work more efficiently and our products will last longer.

Our annual street appeal on 16/17 May is our major promotional and fundraising opportunity of the year. Through this appeal we raise awareness of family violence and the services we support to overcome this. We require funding for radio, newspaper and online advertising as well as 5 bus strip panels.
