The Harcourts Foundation funds an eye movement system for students in Tasmania

By Hannah MacMillan on February 26, 2015

The Harcourts Foundation has recently granted the School of Special Education North-West in Tasmania $5000 to purchase an eye movement system which is changing the way students with impairments are able to communicate.

The system is controlled by eye movements and will soon be installed in the Devonport and Burnie campuses.

The new system allows students to more fully participate in studies and more easily communicate with teachers.

The grant application was made on behalf of the School of Special Education by the Independent Living Centre (ILC) Tasmania.

A story was run in the The Advocate this week, click here for more.
